GameFly Delivers PC Client with 'Unlimited PC Play'
Following in the footsteps of Valve's Steam and EA's Origin, GameFly is now venturing into the world of the online delivery platform. Only GameFlys client brings it with a twist. If you are a subscriber to the GameFly service you will be able to play certain games for as long as you want without actually having to purchase the game.
Gameflys co-founder Sean Spector said "We are thrilled to finally be able to open up the beta so anyone interested in video games can start using the client, and we are hard at work expanding our catalog of PC titles for our users to play for free in the Unlimited PC Play section"
GameFly currently works as the gaming worlds answer to Netflix. Digital content delivery is the next logical step in its evolution. Currently you can download the beta application and give it a try for yourself. At the end of the day Steam may finally have a true competitor on the PC platform. A client with unlimited gameplay for a annual small cost.

Hope it is a success. Its going to be a slightly different business model. Curious to see how well it does. If it can put some pressure on Steam and the others, then maybe we'll see that rumored trade back deal come out on Steam. Got a few games I wouldn't mind trading back to get maybe a little credit on.
Thanks man, will check this out!
I especially didnt like how BF3 required me to launch the game through my browser. more bs that bloats up FF...
Oh and a 3mbps net connection sucks LOL.
@rowsol
The only con to use the client you have to be a gamefly subscriber. Like I said not for everyone.
I like D2D as with the other games you can run a app like the others it's just not forced on you.
Assassins Creed
Splinter Cell
Drakensaang The Dark Eye
and a few others but other wise the selection is pretty much crap.
Saints Row 2 WOULD be appealing but the PC versions is a buggy shitty mess that runs worse then GTA IV ever did, so its not even worth bothering with.
they still have games for sale directly so its still D2D under it all, and the beta client is interesting if im already getting gamefly extra's like this would be badass, just right now
after looking through the entire library of free games i found maybe 5-6 that are WORTH playing,
