NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 Final Specs, Performance, and Prices Leaked
VideoCardz struck the mother lode with information on the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 "Ada" graphics cards, by scoring key slides from the NVIDIA press-deck. But first, the prices: When it goes on sale later this month, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be priced at USD $399. Its 16 GB sibling goes on sale in July, priced at $499. The company didn't finalize the pricing of the RTX 4060, yet. Without disclosing the CUDA core count (rumored to be 4,352), NVIDIA revealed that the RTX 4060 Ti has a shader compute throughput of 22 TFLOP/s, which is 37.5% higher than that of the RTX 3060 Ti.
The specs also confirm that the RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly narrower memory bus, at 128-bit, compared to the 256-bit of the RTX 3060 Ti, and 192-bit of the RTX 4060. With "Ada," NVIDIA overhauled the memory sub-system of the GPU, with greater on-die cache reliance, which allows the company to use narrower memory interfaces and cut costs. Both memory variants of the RTX 4060 Ti come with a TGP of 160 W. which means even the faster custom-design boards should be able to make do with a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. The GeForce RTX 4060 is designed with 15% higher shader throughput than the previous-generation RTX 3060, which is 6% shy of the RTX 3060 Ti. The most striking aspect of this card is its TGP of just 115 W, which should make it technically possible to have cards with even single 6-pin PCIe power connectors.DLSS 3 will be a defining feature of the RTX 4060 series, that could make them an attractive option compared to previous-generation cards being sold at deep discounts. While the RTX 4060 Ti is shown offering certain generational performance improvements over the RTX 3060 Ti, games that leverage DLSS 3 Frame Generation should belt out close to double the performance. Both the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 appear to be designed for maxed-out gaming at 1080p, with the ability to game at 1440p with fairly high settings.

And with 8GB you're not geared for maxed out 1080p, we know this by now, but nice try.
Total Clown Midrange, this
Yes, gamers really will pay $500 for a lower end midrange GPU so Huang just laughs all the way to the bank with truck loads of cash.
Does Nvidia just enjoy these 50%+ margins enough to offset the lower sales numbers? Everything from Ada would be flying of shelves if the price-to-performance increase was similar to the 4090, even if a bit worse.
I bet that 4060ti was initially meant to be the 4070 :
Original 12 GB "4080" became the 4070ti we have now
Original 4070ti became the 4070 we have now
Original 4070 became the 4060ti we have now
etc
It's crazy to think all of these card were planned to be 1 tier above in price over what we got which is already massively overpriced.
I like the power draw reduction compared to previous gen.
Or for the same price of the 3060Ti, we get the same amount of VRAM for 10-15% better performance.
3 years, let that sink in. If this was a mid-gen refresh 1 year after 30 series was released it might be acceptable, but this isn't what a 3 year cycle should bring to the table.
16 to 22 TFLOPs + 20%
3090 Ti to 4090 Ti
35 to 100 TFLOPS + 200%
The 4060 is actually a laptop MX card...
I guess if you just play certain types of game 8GB will be fine but if you like to play the latest AAA stuff the 16GB would be what I would go with although not at $500 for what is probably 3070 equalling performance or thereabouts.
The euro is not equal to the dollar anymore btw, it's stronger now.
- GTX 1060 6GB, as fast as 980 and with 2GB more Vram (50% more), $300
- RTX 2060 6GB, slightly slower than 1080 and with 2GB less (25% less), $350
- RTX 3060 12GB, much slower (28% slower) than 2080 with 4GB more Vram (50% more), $330
- RTX 4060 8GB, much much slower (50% slower aka half the performance) than 3080 with 2GB less Vram (20% less), $300
Do you get the joke now?
