Looks nice, and specs seem good, but at what price ?

which is notably absent from the PR, probably just a heart attack/lawsuit prevention step :D

I dunno, ram is ram, the time to buy is when in need or when it's cheap!, at least it doesn't have lights so it shouldn't be to much off xD

Wikipedia:

Registered memory modules have a register between the DRAM modules and the system's memory controller. They place less electrical load on the memory controller and allow single systems to remain stable with more memory modules than they would have otherwise.

Do not confuse them with ECC ram!

Error correction code memory (ECC memory) is a type of computer data storage that uses an error correction code[a] (ECC) to detect and correct n-bit data corruption which occurs in memory. ECC memory is used in most computers where data corruption cannot be tolerated, like industrial control applications, critical databases, and infrastructural memory caches.

hmmmmmmm

If you're going to render a stick of ram, wouldn't it be good to render the ram chips on it or at least make it look that way?

The real trick about registered RAM is how cheap it gets when it is older.
