By the end of February, they'll be able to choose from a catalog of more than 1,000 titles, including over 100 titles in high definition video with 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound. DVD-quality iTunes Movie Rentals cost just $2.99 for library titles and $3.99 for new releases. High-definition versions are just one dollar more with library titles at $3.99 and new releases at $4.99.

I thought that product bombed
I think the AppleTV is quite nice, they just didn't really make much of it. It's a bit like the iPhone, nice to look at, nice initiative, but it's flawed, needs work to be really truly usable.
To tell you the truth I have never seen one for sale anywhere.
-You can rent HD DVD and DVD quality movies.
-You can buy movies
-It has a lot bigger movie selection than xbox
-You can watch podcasts
-You can download music, stream all of your music. Transfer all of your music.
-You can watch youtube videos
-You can store pictures on it
-you can get pictures from flickr and .mac (you can look at friends websites and pictures)
-live searches for movies, music, ect...
-20th century fox is now offering digital movies when you buy dvds
-it's a standalone product
-802.11n wireless
