Ubisoft Reveals Far Cry 5 System Requirements

As we near the launch of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft has decided to reveal the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version. They've also detailed the necessary hardware required to achieve a 30 FPS and 60 FPS experience at the 4K resolution. Additionally, the development team has generously implemented a built-in benchmark to aid users in analyzing their systems and calibrating the different visual options. Nevertheless, the game also comes with an auto-detect feature that chooses the best quality preset for gamers who don't want to fiddle with the different graphic options. Far Cry 5 is slated to launch on March 27 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The standard edition costs $59.99, while the Deluxe and Gold Edition cost $69.99 and $89.99, respectively.

I was just thinking that. Perhaps some of the "pretty" can be turned down in order to be playable on "lesser" GPU's?

This game is chock-full of anti conservative/Trump-base subtle and strong messages. Ubisoft is an SJW company, so I'd expect nothing less from them.

Leave the politics out. It's a game. Besides, you go around with a gun, or guns, shooting people. How very NRA.

yeah the thing is, not supported just means there is no guarantee it will work, but after the graphical glitches with the division its probably not even worth the gamble.

I like that they break it down into resolutions and quality level. Crossfire and SLI are apparently not completely dead.

I'm just happy that SLI support is confirmed. I'll be able to play this at 1440p at least.

This game was in production before Trump was even running. You are suggesting that they redid the main theme of the entire game to make fun of Trump in less than 2 years, which is ridiculous.

Also, the only one here suggesting that Trump / Conservatives going hand in hand with Nazis and the KKK here is you. FYI Trump isn't a conservative, he's a party whore who jumps between whichever suites his needs best. Second, this game is about extremist groups, not conservatives. The fact that you seem to confuse the two makes me think you have bigger issues. Robert Muller is a conservative, Jeff Flake is a conservative, John McCain is a conservative. Trump and his ilk are radicals who ran on an anarchistic platform of tearing down the US government.

Actually....the NRA is about responsible ownership. And no, not a member. I just don't like to see things misrepresented. :)

Its Ubisoft, don't get your hopes too high.
Just look at The Division.
Oh Ghost Recon still has shitty frame times with multi-gpu as well.

I guess that 7600K @ 4.7GHz & GTX 980 @ 1500/2050 runs fine on 1080p.

Probably this will run ~30-40 fps on 3440x1440 with an GTX 1080 card, on Ultra or with max details...

thanks for the heads up? or I mean... spoilers?

(the funny/sad thing is that you actually believe its a bad thing or unique/special, but at least your comment fits your username)

Of course they would say/claim that but behind the scenes they are pushing for less and less regulation so they can make more money selling guns to everyone, no matter their background or intentions.
They fight to take away every persons right to block guns from their property yet dont allow guns in their own conventions, bunch of hypocrites that only care about money

Yeaah, its not like inbread redneck have been made fun of in gaming for centuries. Dont know which political side you are on, but it sounds as if you want a safespace in videogames :D (Thats not very in line with your statement! To be honest; people will make fun of what ever is ridiculous in this world, that covers both SJW and rednecks. Games are here to make us laugh and have a great experience. If making on group the laughingstock due to their lack of tolerance I will not recommend you to play wolfenstein as it will trigger you! As writen before: Its a game; dont try to make it something it isnt :)

100% agree. Its like sayin apple dont want you to drop your phone if it means the can sell you a new one afterwards! :D I honestly think too many people apply emotions and empathy to cooperations when most of them are 110% based on capitalism more or less within the rules of law. NRA dont give 2 f's about people if it doesnt mean that they earn more money. Like apple (and others), dont give 2 f's about the child labor factories that makes their products as long as it doesnt come back and bite them in the ass. To think that the biggest cooperation will regulate themselves based on a vision of moral is like assuming a thief wouldnt steal because he knows he shouldnt.

With the current price and availability of graphics cards, Ubisoft should really bundle a 1060 with every copy of their games if they want sales.
