PUBG Sells 70 Million Copies Ahead of Big Season 8 Update
The popular battle royale PlayersUnknown's BattleGround, called PUBG shortly, has managed to sell over 70 million copies across all platforms it is supported on, like PC and consoles. The huge achievement comes after two and a half years after the game was released, marking a huge achievement for battle royale type of games. The PUBG Corporation, makers of the game, decided to celebrate the new milestone with a release of a remastered Sanhok map. The new Sanhok map is redesigned from the ground up and the developer describes it as "leaner, meaner, and more deadly than ever before!". The new map will go live with the season 8 update, which is going live on July 22nd on Steam, and July 30th on consoles and Google Stadia.

Why this one is not, it looks as awful like a game from the 360 era or worse, and people pay for it. Strange world.
The gunplay is a lot more realistic than those games as well...less arcadey.
And also, yes it's true that this is the OG battle Royale game. Started off as an Arma 2 mod long before anything else.
Nothing better than getting headshot by a shotgun from a guy 100+ yards away as he's bouncing around like a rabbit.
Or the guys that instantly know where you are and they jump, spin in mid air 180 degrees and instantly headshot you with whatever weapon they're holding.
Or the speed hacks.
Or the gen with weapons/armor hacks as people would shoot you out of the air as everyone (including them) was parachuting to the ground.
Auto aim
teleporting
and I'm sure the list goes on, but I gave up keeping track and found zero enjoyment in the game.
A few buddies talked me into installing the game again about 4-5 months back....same shit, different day. This time the folks with pinpoint accuracy as they bouncing around like a bobble head in cars that flew by at top speed....my buddies were even getting really pissed with the cheating and even the death cam that shows folks clearly cheating, they got tired of constantly reporting people. I just laughed at them and told them that's why I stopped playing. It's not enjoyable to play the game.
I don't understand any type of shooter game that's supposed to be "realistic" that allows jumping - climbing up on obstacles, I can understand. But just constant bunny hopping/jumping with shooting should be removed from the game. It would at least cut down on one aspect of stupidity in the game.
I'd have to say I haven't seen as much cheating as we did a few months back, or even a year or two. That said, I don't think it's a rampant problem, but a problem still, indeed. It doesn't take away from my experience much at all, recently. I have almost 2K hours into the game. I don't recall anyone bunny hopping and shooting in this game and that being effective in avoidance or landing shots. In fact, when jumping, the accuracy is INCREDIBLY low (different than falling). I can jump and shoot any handgun or rifle in this game... though some DMRs and snipers.........lol.
You can't sprint and shoot... only walk/crouch. Shooting when jumping is possible, but it is wildly inaccurate (or maybe it's me, lol).
But I've literally not seen anyone bunnyhop (I've seen it, but felt more like a panic response than thoughtful, lol).... it isn't effective in this game like it was in Battlefield 4 for example, where everyone bunny hopped around shooting without an accuracy penalty.
I’m currently busy with Warzone as I need a faster-paced Quake-like BR experience.
I am playing Fortnite on the Switch and iPad Pro though. You don’t need to build as much (why I dislike Fortnite in general) compared when to playing on PC.
I have not played a Battlefield since 3... I refuse to keep giving my money away to trash and grave disappointment.
I haven't given Warzone a dime and it is fun, the BR is exciting and you have to have a lot of attention, a lot more than 1 even.
PUBG is just run run run run run,... dead..... start over and hope for better results. I plan to give season 8 another go at it, I used to play PUGB a LOT and have way to many hours into it.
Sorry, bitter that every FPS centered around modern military that isn't ARMA has to have maps the size of basketball courts.
You form a plan every time you play PUBG? maybe that is why I suck at these games I just base it on luck and I get the chicken often so my luck is either good or I play to win and achieve. I plan very little and mostly around a end game or achievement. I play mostly for fun, no one is giving me a prize or blue ribbon for coming in top10 let alone first.
You sound super bitter.
you sound like you have not played Warzone, which leaves you 0 grounds to even speak of it, it is 1 map and equals to 100000s of basketball courts, with 150 people on the "court" I tend to not run into anyone until after the first circle or if I am playing stealthy I can go longer.
The alternative is games like Squad or Arma. But most of them want to be too serious 'yes sir, no sir'. So those of us that want some casual, fun fps, with jets, helos, and tanks, get fucked again.
Get off my lawn kids!
I'll be honest I'm not into this Battle Royale craze, but this game looks awful from every angle, it's a waste UE4, they could've just continued to have it as mod for ARMA. M'y point is with this awful quality it should be free till it's updated to at least the PS4 era.
You can't really make money off a mod you goober.
