VR-Zone has revealed some information about the GeForce 8500GT video cards to be released on April 17. Based on 80nm TSMC process and 128-bit memory interface, the GeForce 8500GT cards will be clocked at 450MHz core with 256MB of DDR2 memory at 400MHz (800MHz DDR). Those cards are expected to outperform any current GeForce 7600GS, scoring around 22xx and 42xx marks at 3DMark06 (1280x1024) and 3DMark05 (1024x768) respectively. the 7600gs reviewed here scored a 4979 at stock speeds, and a 7129 overclocked
amazing...NVIDIA says no dx10 agp cuz agp cannot handle it...what bs, those specs are dam weak.
BUT, It is great to see that low cost DirectX10 video cards really are on the way!! :toast:
Funny... I am a big AMD and ATI fan... it seems fitting that AMD bought ATI because right now both of them seem to be "behind the times". Nvidia and Intel are enjoying an awful lot of limelight... and to be honest, they deserve it. I am still waiting and keeping my fingers crossed for ATI and AMD's response, but that wait seems to be lasting f-o-r-e-v-e-r.
Can't beat the price. Are they gonna have anything cover the $100-$149 range? The 8600gt is out of my desired price range and this looks a little to weak... Plus, I've been appalled at Nvidia's driver support (I went ATI with an x800).
8600gt weak, how so?
And at this stage why aren't they using solid caps? It looks worse than a 9550IMHO.
I do not think this is the real picture for 8500GT because 7300GT is the excatly the same.:twitch:
How can it be 8500GT if the size and most of the compondments are the same??:wtf: :wtf:
For example the foxconn 7300GT.;)
