Payday 1 was amazing and unique.
Payday 2 was great but man did it get hammered with mediocre updates to the point where it alienated me completely.

The problem with this version for me is that it barely looks like anything has been improved, it looks like a game from 15 years ago in just about every single way.

And, but I guess thats a me problem, I loved in payday 2 to be the profesional, stake out the place and sneak, get the loot and leave without a single bullet, that was the art, that was the challenge.

But I guess most want to just shoot like soooo many other games allow you to do....just the focus on the combat in these trailers has me worried for what I want this game to be.

I'll buy the 'Season's Pass' i.e., I'll pass on it for an entire season.

My guess is that they studied the current PC gamers and found out that going low specs on graphics is the best approach to get as many players as they can and that is a better approach than going high specs.

Shaping up to be another Paymeum PC gaming experience.

I played a lot of missions on Payday2 including in Lan mode with my friends. But I have since taken a stance that I will no longer give any of my precious time to broken monetizing scheme games.

Hard pass.

It didn't run exceptionally well in the beta they had a while back, looked pretty much like PD2 but with Unreal Engine's light

Well, PAYDAY 3 got improved visuals. But they are aiming to keep the game playable for everyone, kinda like CS:GO. ;) Which is also the reason why they're selling PAYDAY 2 regularly for 1 buck. DLC is their cashmaker, like CS:GO's cashmaker is DLC skins.

PAYDAY 3's biggest changes compared to the previous titles is actually the combat system & general mechanics. A lot more to think about ingame.
