Last year we got Intel 13xx series laptops which weren't much of an improvement and AMD xx4x series laptops which barely existed (except to help sell xx3x laptops) until late in the year. As disappointing as it is to go into this year with no new AMD CPUs and new Intel CPUs that aren't quite as good as what AMD launched last summer, it's looking like most laptops going forward will be Intel 1xx series and AMD xx4x series, which is a welcome improvement.
