This Week in Gaming (Week 29)

After several slow weeks of new game releases, we now have a week that's overflowing with new game releases. The most anticipated release this week is an online PvPvE dungeon crawler, built on Unreal Engine 5. This is followed by a crusty space game, an evil game, a game that involves attracting birds to you, a dystopian New York of the future, a bit of Japanese folklore, some more dungeons, fighting some gods and finally being a Japanese goddess. Yes, we threw in a bunch of extra games this week, yet we're not able to cover all the new releases that are coming out.

Dungeonborne / This week's major release / Friday 19 July / Early Access

Venture solo or join forces with trusted companions to hunt for treasure, explore ominous dungeons, and battle terrifying monsters and cunning adversaries. Escape before succumbing to darkness and greed. Embrace your role as a Fighter, Priest, Rogue, Swordmaster, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Death Knight, or Druid. With first-person clarity, feel the power of each spell, the weight of your weapons, and the strategic impact of every decision. Charge into battle, unleash devastating skills to disrupt enemy formations, cast life-saving buffs on allies, or use tactical throwables to turn the tide. Steam link

In love with Nobody Wants to Die's tech noir aesthetic! Hopefully the story and gameplay is just as good. Surprisingly, the game has pretty low requirements for a UE5 title.

I also like the visual presentation and the varied mechanics of Dungeons of Hinterberg, even though I'm not into slashers.

Nobody Wants To Die seems to be similar to Bioshock.

They should make a UE5 story driven life is strange-esque game about a journalist that publishes weekly game releases and his subsequent decent into madness from the things he has seen reading and looking at screenshots from low tier indie studios. Two different endings tragedy; or leaving everything behind to live in the forest.

Free soundtrack with pre order.

I am excited for The Crust. It looks like a fun game to play on the couch with my laptop and some coffee. I am also very excited for the flintlock game. I predownloaded it from gamepass on my desktop. Thank you so much for the weekly gaming updates. I have found so many cool games including Manor Lords from the weekly post.

Out of all those games , it seems to be only Nobody Wants to Die is interesting , I really like it's aesthetic but I hope it's not just a walking simulator

More like a (private) detective simulator
