CD Projekt Red to Present Role-Playing Game at E3 2018

After five years of inactivity, the Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 finally showed some sign of life a few months ago. It did not take long for rumors to surface that CD Projekt Red is secretly planning to reveal the game sometime this year. According to the recently released E3 schedule, CD Projekt Red will indeed be attending the event this year to present a mysterious role-playing game. The schedule didn't explicitly mention the title of the game, but it's safe to say that it's Cyberpunk 2077. Let the countdown to E3 begin!

zilulI don't consider Andromeda as a mass effect at all, please refrain from mentioning andromeda next time .

Now please CDPR, Make this Cyberpunk game THE TRUE MASS EFFECT TRILOGY SUCCESSOR.
Why would it be? From what we have seen and heard it has more in common with the Deus Ex world than anything.

Ok people...I got a problem comparing this to Deus Ex..that game really isn't on par with CP2077 not even close, Deus Ex will seem like an early access green light indie game... and about preordering and worrying about quality, this isn't Ubi or EA, they don't work on 8 games per year.

I didn’t compare it. I merely pointed out a widely recognized cyberpunk type world, so there would be a frame of reference, and that it has zero in common with the type of world in Mass Effect universe.

I'll have to thoroughly review CP2077 because that isn't my favorite type of setting; I prefer medieval, but coming from CDPR there is a great chance that it will be good.

The Witcher isn't the greatest series I've ever played, but is probably top 10.

I know, I know, no preorders. But after Witcher 3, even if this is not exactly my style of game, screw it, I will preorder.

I think you completely missed the point and frame of reference.

Maybe a bit, my point still stands. Its like Deus Ex universe how? Futuristic dystopian? Ehh bad frame of reference imho.

Bear with me a moment. It is a dystopian, cyberpunk world. Whether it is anything like Deus Ex is immaterial. That world IS one though, that everyone knows. Hell, let’s change it to the Satellite Reign world. It doesn’t matter.

What IS important is conveying the Type Of Setting to someone who has no clue, wanting it to be like Mass Effect world, which is totally not that setting. Substitute whatever cyberpunk genre game you want in there to convey to someone what it is. I merely picked a world I naturally assumed most people know.

Does my method make sense now? :)

Wrong Devs, wrong genre, you will get nothing even close.

As for me this will be a pre-order for sure. I’ve wanted this since it was announced and CDPR always delivers and deserve my money. Heck I’ve not even scratched the surface of TW3 but I still bought all the DLC. TW2 I’ve finished and loved. This is more my speed I’m not really that big a fan of the medieval era.

That isn't necessarily true, Cyberpunk2020 has space exploration and even the colonization of Mars mentioned. But it is no Mass Effect, no saving the human race from ancient space aliens. This is what I mean by its bad to put these games in references for people. Cyberpunk does have some space elements in it just like how Mass Effect is about space and it also has advanced technology just like Deus Ex, it is also about mega corporations and their effect on the dystopia, just like FFVII...

Yea I got it, but you see how it is a bad reference? Especially when you say it is nothing like MassEffect when in the CyberPunk2020 world they have colonized Mars, who knows what happened in the 57 years of advancement, we may actually just be able to travel a bit through space. But yea a MassEffect spiritual successor? I didn't get that either lol

FrustratedGarrettWitcher 3 is an OK game. There's nothing exceptional about it.
When an OK game dlc wins once again... Best RPG Of the year, i repeat myself only ...the ...DLC......... i think that your opinion here is the .....ok i will let it pass...HELL NO!!!
lexluthermiesterThere's a lot of people who will disagree with you there...
almost the whole entire gaming community.

looking forward to this game, i might pre purchase it just for the fact of supporting a real company that cares gamers.

Hearing this I might have to go replay Witcher 3. This will be the second game I’ve ever preordered.

Vya DomusMake no mistake , Projekt Red is in the business of making money , after the one about making games.
While this is true, they are passionate about gaming and have proven so with the titles they release. It is very likely to be a quality release, even if it doesn't appeal to everyone.

Vya DomusThat's when you give them the opportunity to burn you. This marks the downfall of many franchisee , the tipping point when they figure they can get away with increasingly inferior products. Make no mistake , Projekt Red is in the business of making money , after the one about making games.
You've never watched an interview or a behind the scenes of these guys before have you? They are not doing this to make money, they love making games above all else. They started as a very small studio and nearly went bankrupt just trying to port their game to the xbox.

I’m sure they love making money, but they know the best way to do it is to make good games. The Witcher 3 made over $420 million dollars in the first 1.5 years it was out and only cost $80 million to make. It got over an 8/10 almost everywhere on release, and steam curators have it at a 10/10 with 97% of 137,000 reviews being positive. Sure, I guess CDPR could turn on us at any time and then I won’t preorder their games, but for now they’ve got a good track record.

What better way to make money than to have happy customers who pass the praise onto their friends. Not like being in it for the money is bad, don't always gota be sleazy to be rich.
