nice i hope the temps are good. these laptop makers make the mistake of not adding enough cooling a lot of times... some games demand a lot more than others, and sometimes I don't think they test those games lol

the desire for lighter and thinner conflicts with the desire for more performance.. these things will throttle like mad to stay within thermal limits.. its inevitable..

yep, Eluktronics just released a new laptop, its got a nice thick chassis on it for extra cooling, problem is they use a full 65w desktop CPU in it so temps still wil be around 85 celsius... i'd rather see them use that chassis with 45w i9 laptop 8 core. and 65 celsius max temps. i just have never been comfortable with anything around 80 celsius. 70 is best.

what you are comfortable with and what the chips can handle would be better served if the two were aligned. The Intel chips throttle at 100C and shut down a bit above that if they get too hot. Running at 80C is nothing...90C is the limit most hold for stress testing. That said, games are ~20C colder anyway so you'll be in the 70s that way. These cpus cant keep under 70C when stress testing at stock in most cases, lol.

Dont rob yourself of performance/better chip because of a conservative view on temps.;)

these thin and light laptop power and temp throttle as part of their nature.. its normal practice for those in the know to lower the cpu voltage as much as possible.. this enables them to run a little faster for longer before the temps throttle them down.. kind like overclocking in reverse.. the cooler they run the faster they run.. they will all hit high temps and throttle down to some extent.. sometimes quite a lot..
