What this means for GB is 50% price increase across its entire motherboard line, you're now paying for a name...

Not suprised since it was Team AU that did at least 7 of them.
If I'm not mistaken the entity "Team AU" is actually a group of guys, not just a single individual and they all sub under the Team AU name like "BenchBros" was doing before except BenchBros are a pair of guys, not a group.

Either way it's still a great accomplishment, congrats to them!

remember the tag line for the Bionic man.... "we have the technology, we can make him better, stronger, faster".....

for ONLY $6M !

(and that was in '70's money, which would probably equate to about $23M nowadays, hehehe :))

LOL. That's my current mobo, where I keep everything underclocked and undervolted, in order to save power and heat. :D

Apparently it broke the records before the tests were run.

Wish Gigabyte would spend less time on this stuff and more time on quality control, cause I am not the only with this Gigabyte B650 mobo to have horrible screeching coil whine coming from it, and no it is not the gpu.

Every time new hw is released, 10 fk'n broken records..... ya no shit. Break that record with 10y old hardware and impress someone.

Marketing trash. Nobody cares about OC records except the 10s of people using LN2. The rest of the sheep, stuck at stock.

Agree. And overclocking is practically worthless anyway with modern CPUs.

I knew people who opted for the most expensive board back in the days and still not knowing how to properly use it.

From the layout alone you cam tell, this is an enthusiast board. They just counted you will use four PCI slots for the GPU alone and left two on the bottom....
