most of the other brands have moved into ddr5, its a bit odd to see biostar moving into ddr4 almost the end of the ddr4 cycle. AM4 i can understand is only ddr4 but i think be phased out soon,
z690 and z790 boards majority will be hopping on the ddr5 band wagon, i find it a bit odd but im no business expert maybe there is still money to made here...

There will be demand for ddr4 for a while, if only to upgrade older systems. Biostar thinks that this is a good niche for them with less competition and possibly a larger stockpile of chips.
