Laptop targetted at creators but lacks SD card reader and motherboards with single USB 2.0 port on rear panel making it feel like an afterthought. Looks like castration fetish has infected this subrand as well.

Really curious how much the ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi will cost compared to the X670 counterpart, seems like only the wifi is newer.
And the old one can PD 60W if you plug the extra power connector.

Love that both the motherboards feature a DP IN port for dGPU tunneling over USB4. Something that every motherboard should have nowadays.

Absolutely fcuking ludicrous. The 27" pro Art which is 4K gets 160Hz but the 32" version is limited to a trash tier 60Hz. What on earth does panel size have to do with refresh when they are the same resolution?

DC in jack on mini PC....

Why do they continue to fail this way?

There are a bunch of monitors that can supply 90W over USB PD.

At least the gaming handhelds like ROG Ally got it right.

Board which is deeply flawed technically. Almost full year from release and 9 out of 10 will not work properly with 8 DIMM slots above 32GB. 10 out of 10 will not work properly if you use high capacity DIMMs (128+). Only 2 BIOS updates on this 1400$ board (when it was released), which fix nothing judging by opinions. At this moment in time motherboard division of Asus is utter dog poop.

If you think about it, forget it. Get yourself AsRock WRX90 EVO WS and live in tranquility. BTW: It has built-in TPM for anyone who wonders why no TPM header.

So not much different from RoGarbage Dominus extreme saga with its plethora of unresolved issues and Shitsus had audacity to charge $1700 for it.

That is a letdown. I was hoping it would go UP, not down (say 90w?). I was a sucker for the Creator boards for this reason. 10Gb ethernet and front panel PD USB-C. Nobody else had it when I bought my current Pro-Art board. And the RoG stuff was going for $1000. I really wanted to go AMD, but they were out of stock or going for $100's more than the Intel version. It hurt bad enough paying nearly $500 for a mainboard.

Sources please, not because I dispute it, but because I'm interested in the segment.
Are these users having issues using overclocked memory or running at 5200 MHz at JEDEC speeds?

Strangely enough, no word on the TRX50 platform. Hopefully they will have some fresh boards by the time next generation Threadrippers arrive, and hopefully put the CPU socket in the right orientation this time.

The ASUS PROART X670E-CREATOR WIFI AM5 Ryzen 7000 ATX is only $459 and has nearly all the same features as the X870E, except it has Wifi 6E versus 7... Personally I went ahead and bought it back in May instead of waiting for the new motherboards and also went for a 7900X3D for $349 back in May also, prior to the 9000 series roll out. I think I paid $449 for my MSI MEG X570 ACE several years ago and $549 for a 5900X, so in comparison, the X670E Creator is a much better deal, especially with the PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, PCIe 5.0 M.2 ssd support, USB4.0 and 10GB Lan.

I know I wish I could trade. When I was buying (I forget when, it was early as they were hitting shelves), the X670 Pro Art was $700+ if it was in stock. And DDR5 was still stupid expensive, and there was no X3D chips yet. I initially tried the DDR4 Intel board to save $$ but didn't realize they didn't let you do much of anything with overclocking in the BIOS settings on those. It was also missing BIOS flashback IRCC, so I had a brick initially with a 13th gen. I ended up borrowing a 12600K from my workstation at work to update that board, and ended up returning it as Z790 launched.
