I vaguely remember that on Sega Saturn.

Did you mean Gunstar Heros.

Treasure was the shit back in the day.

I just remember Gunstar more clearly even though it's older I believe...

I don't think I've ever played Alien Soldier.

I did mean Guardian. Although I'd never say no to Gunstar, it's one of my all-time favorites.

I have both of those in my PSX collection already.

To me they're kinda like trading cards, anything collectible is TBH and I'm lucky to have these in the condition they are in.
Although the boxes aren't perfect they are in really good shape vs what you'd normally find in the wild and everything they should have included is there for both of them. Bear in mind these games are coming up on 30 years old now and examples in this condition are both, hard and expensive to find.

I have several older games worth some bucks too but these are probrably among the top (If not the actual best) examples, condition-wise in my entire collection of games, regardless of platform.

Oh good grief the voice acting. The SegaCD version could turn it off IIRC.

Time to sell before they lose all the value. Yesterday Lunar 2 I saw was going for $300 at my local shop.

This happens to ever retro game that gets a re-release. The value is in that it was a low print run 20 years ago.

It can happen, but only if a physical release takes place. Digital remasters rarely affect the pricing of physical release versions.

Really? That's very cool! I still don't seen the prices on the SegaCD/PS1 versions being affected much.

Agreed.

Also, if the game is a success it can have the opposite effect too - Driving up demand/prices for original copies too since it will introduce folks that have never seen or played these before to the series and some may like it enough to really want an older/original copy/version.
The original SEGA versions would be probrably go up the most, these being a PSX release woudn't benefit as much (I'd think) but could go up in value too.

I do know one thing as fact - They ain't making these anymore.
